This site is powered by Ashop Commerce, and as they host and manage all data this policy reflects that of their facilities as well as our own.  Issues covered here are as follows, click on any of these index items to go directly to that section:

Information Collection and Use
Larj Ambitions Pty Ltd, trading as Can Do 4x4 is the sole owner of the information collected on this site.  We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in any way different to what is disclosed in this statement.  Information is collected at different points on this web site for different reasons.  This includes voluntary registration by visitors to the web site who have expressed an interest in a product range, information sheet, newsletters or other means of communication regarding an area of interest. 

Registration is also required when ordering.  This information includes name and address, contact details and financial information.  This information is used for fulfilling order requests, and for contacting customers where there is difficulty or clarification required when fulfilling a request.

Cookies are used on this site to enhance the experience for shoppers, these are in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site and terminate once the user’s browser is closed.  Some business partners and advertisers may use cookies on our site to track & target interests of users, a user may reject these cookies at any time.

Log Files
On this site IP addresses are used to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movements and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Aggregated demographic information is shared with business partners.  This is not linked to any personal information that can identify an individual.  If from time-to-time we offer products or service provided by a third party, where you request access to these, your information will be shared for the practical purpose of supply of those  products or services only (a key example being the use of courier services for delivery of an item).

This web site contains links to other sites.  Please be aware that we have no control over the Privacy Policy of these other sites.  If you leave our site to follow a link we encourage you to view the Privacy Policy of that site before volunteering any information.  This Privacy Policy covers our web site only.

If a user wishes to receive a newsletter or participate in a forum we will ask for contact information such as name and address, users will be able to unsubscribe from these services at any time they wish.

Surveys, Competitions & Special Offers
From time to time our site will request information from users for surveys, competitions or special offers.  Participation in any of these is purely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information.   Survey information will be used to improve the site and product or service range offered and may include details beyond contact information such as vehicles owned and travel destinations. It is completely up to you how much or how little you wish to disclose.

Security & Credit Card Information 
This site takes every possible precaution to protect user’s information, and any sensitive date is protected both online and offline.
Credit card information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry – SSL (for more information see www.thawte.com).

Offline (in our office) your personal information is accessible only to staff who have been issued a password to the administration section of the website.  Only those who require access for specific purposes (e.g. billing & shipping) have access and nobody has access to any credit card information as these transactions are handled via secure bank interfaces.

Data collected by Ashop, our service provider in this case, is kept on servers located physically in a secure, locked , caged environment.

Correction/Updating Personal Information
If your contact information or other details change, or if you no longer desire to use our services, we will endeavour to provide a simple means to correct, update or remove your personal information at your request.  At the very least this can be done at the member information page or by e-mailing or calling our customer service staff.

All users are given the opportunity to opt-out of having their information used for purposes such as marketing, promotional offers, further communications or similar.  Users on our site will always be notified when their information is being collected by any outside party, so you can always make an informed choice as to whether or not your proceed.

Returns Process
We hope that every part or accessory you buy from us is exactly what you expected and you never have to worry about returns.  But, since it is not a perfect world you may have to consider sending something back and here is our policy in that event. In all instances Returned Goods must be in their original undamaged packaging, unused, clean and in original condition or a re-packaging surcharge will be charged

Before finalising your purchase check to make sure that the product is what you want – for the majority of items there will be a picture and a description.  Carefully review the list of vehicles a part fits, and any exclusions to ensure that it is right for your vehicle.  If you are at all unsure please feel free to call us or e-mail us to check to avoid any disappointment.  Remember we will, in good faith, despatch what you ask us to and the confirmation e-mail you receive and the paperwork we will enclose will all confirm exactly what that was.

When receiving your order please be sure to carefully unpack & check contents of your delivery ASAP, and make sure you don’t damage the packaging in the process.  Ensure you have received what you expected, the earlier you find an error the quicker we can rectify it for you.   Don’t wait until the weekend when you are planning to leave on a trip to find the item is the wrong size, or colour, or the bolt pattern is wrong.

Time Limits on Returns 
If the order is not as you expected, then call or e-mail us immediately.  There is a possibility that it is an upgraded or superseded product, that packaging has changed, that some parts are hard to find in the large box (always check right though for gaskets, o-rings, nuts & bolts), or that you simply clicked on the wrong version of the right product.  Tell us within 7 days of receiving the product and we will happily advise you on how to return it for a credit or immediate replacement.

You can still return product after 7 days but it will incur a re-stocking fee as we will have already replaced it and it may require repackaging as this changes frequently.  Requests for return of product more than 3 months after despatch will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis

Errors made by Us
We take every possible care and double check orders before they are despatched, but we are only human and admit that we may make a mistake one time in a million or so.  If that happens and we have genuinely sent you something that does not correspond with what you purchased (and you will have an e-mail and paperwork to check against), then we take full responsibility.  We will issue you the correct product immediately, and will give you instructions on how to get the incorrect product back to us at no cost to you.

Errors made by You 
Then let us help you find the correct product and get that out to you without delay.  In the meantime once you advise us that you are returning a product we will issue you with a Return Authority, this will make it faster and easier to process a credit for you when we receive it back at our shop.  If the product arrives back in perfect condition then we will happily process a credit for you against your next order, or if you specifically request it a refund for the total you paid minus the costs of shipping.  Costs of shipping the return journey will be your responsibility.

Product Failure 
We hope this never happens to you, and this is why we have chosen our suppliers carefully.  As we sell a wide variety of products the warranties and conditions differ from product to product, and brand to brand and we will endeavour to make sure that you know exactly what that is for the product you purchased.

If you have installed the product according to the instructions and used it for the purpose it is designed, and it has failed within the promised period, then you deserve a replacement. 

We require as much information as you can supply (including pictures if possible) to give our suppliers feedback on the cause of a failure to ensure they take that into consideration in their manufacturing process in the future.  We promise to work hard on your behalf to ensure a replacement can be sent to you ASAP, or even supplied locally if the manufacturer has an outpost closer to you.

Please note – whilst we have the greatest confidence in all the products we supply, no one can warranty a product used in competition conditions, and we always recommend carrying a spare in that case!

Product Delivery
Most products will be despatched within 2 working days of receipt of your order.  If there is any delay we will notify you by e-mail and advise a likely date of despatch.  The time taken between leaving our shop and arriving at your location will depend on the choice you make on delivery options. Generally speaking we favour Australia Post for normal deliveries, but there are many items on this web site which are too large for Australia Post. 

Large Items
In the case of items which are beyond Australia Post’s charter we would encourage you to consider picking up the item in person as large items will be expensive to ship and the chances of minor damage increase due to their size & shape.
We are happy to get quotes for couriers or transport companies to deliver to the location of your choice and these costs will be billed to your separately.  Alternatively you can arrange for your own pickup and we will ensure that goods are made ready and adequately packaged & labelled to get to you safely.

Overseas Orders
If you are ordering from outside of Australia we can assist you in determining the costs of delivery to a point of pick-up for overseas transport, or make goods ready for pickup by your chosen transport company.  It is your responsibility to inform us of any additional descriptions or paperwork that may be required for Import Authorities on your receiving end.

Notification of Changes
If this Privacy Policy changes we will post those changes on our Homepage so all users can view these.  If your information as collected under a previous Policy, the conditions of that Policy hold unless you wish to allow us to use it under the new cicumstances.
